CISSP Study Plan – Day 51 of 55 | Last Minute Review — 4 Days To Go

“This was months ago and we already know the result. But it’s great to look back!”

– Luke Ahmed

Today is Day 51 of Yani’s CISSP study plan. Four days before the exam. When you’re this close to the exam, small adjustments make a big difference. Let’s talk about what really matters now.

The Elimination Test

The ability to eliminate answers is VERY important at this point. This is good to do if you are VERY close to your exam. You may still get questions wrong — but:

  • You’re eliminating two answers immediately.

  • You’re down to 50/50 frequently.

  • You understand why two answers are clearly wrong.

Eliminating two choices right away is a strong indicator of domain understanding!

CISSP Study Plan Guides and Focus Tools

In the last few days to weeks, this is where condensed review material becomes useful.

Examples:

Confidence Calibration

Confidence is a funny thing, it comes and goes. But the real pros know when to use it and bend it to their will. At this point before your exam you must try to be:

  • Mostly confident

  • Occasionally uncertain

  • Rarely completely lost

Quick CISSP Practice Question - (Fun One)

You are 4 days away from the CISSP exam. Your practice exam results show consistent weaknesses in PKI-related questions. What is the BEST use of your study time?

A. Read a new 200-page cryptography textbook

B. Memorize certificate key sizes and algorithm bit lengths

C. Review Security Engineering domain concepts specifically tied to your missed PKI questions

D. Ignore PKI and focus only on your strongest domains

❌ A. Read a new 200-page cryptography textbook

Too broad and too late. Adding volume now increases overload instead of improving precision.

❌ B. Memorize certificate key sizes and algorithm bit lengths

CISSP tests application and judgment, not detailed memorization of technical numbers.

❌ D. Ignore PKI and focus only on your strongest domains

Avoiding weak areas increases exam-day risk. Weaknesses must be reinforced, not ignored.

✅ Correct Answer: C

Four days out, your study must be targeted. Review the specific Security Engineering concepts tied to the PKI questions you’re missing. Strengthen the weakness directly. Refine understanding. Reduce risk.

Yani’s Resources Used

Yani and I worked closely together throughout his CISSP study plan, mostly over Telegram messages and then TikTok direct message. When something didn’t make sense, we addressed it immediately. When a domain felt weak, we reinforced it before it became a liability and snowballed into something bigger. At some point I could sense he was getting frustrated at my course practice questions, but he didn't give up!

Observing's Yani's dedication was fascinating from my point of view. How could someone with such limited time and resources, halfway across the globe, be this focused with dedication? It was my privilege to help Yani actually. I learned a lot from him.

Why couldn't everyone do this? Maybe I could help them do the same.

That idea has now evolved into Luke’s 90-Day CISSP Exam Accelerator Program.

Luke's 90-Day Exam Accelerator

Accountability. Commitment. Discipline.

For 90 days, we study side-by-side. We break down tough domains, expose weak areas early, and refine your reasoning until CISSP logic becomes instinct.
